Last Saturday morning occurred the death of John Gassman, a Yankton Sioux. Mr. Gassmann was born 1848 and early manhood was married to a Rosebud woman who with the three sons, Samuel, Joseph, and Louis are left to mourn his death. Burial was made at the White Swan cemetery on Sunday, funeral services being conducted by Rev. John Rondell.
Mr. Gassman came to this country about thirty-four years ago, and for several years spent his summers on the farm which was later alloted
John Gassman, or Yellowthunder, as he was carried on the rolls, was truly one of natures
